Suffolk County, NY

Christmas & Holiday Lighting Across Suffolk County

Suffolk is three very different counties wearing one name. Western Suffolk — Huntington, Northport, Smithtown, Commack, Dix Hills, and the Babylon and Islip townships — is where most of our installs happen: harbor villages on the North Shore, big-lot Colonials and ranches through the middle, and Great South Bay canal homes from Lindenhurst to Sayville. Brookhaven is the county's center of gravity, with Patchogue, Port Jefferson, Stony Brook, and dozens of hamlets from Centereach to Shirley. Then the East End: the Hamptons' shingled estates and hedgerows, the North Fork's farm stands and vineyard-side homes, and Shelter Island in between — properties where holiday lighting is often a caretaker call and the season runs on a different calendar.

Our Suffolk office is at 71 Mall Dr, Suite 3, in Commack — right where the Northern State, Sunken Meadow, and the LIE meet, which puts Huntington, Smithtown, Bay Shore, and Ronkonkoma all within a short drive. East End work is scheduled in dedicated blocks so crews aren't running the LIE twice a day, and we keep a takedown calendar for second-home owners who won't be back until spring. Call the Suffolk line at 631-430-5782 and you're talking to the Commack team.

How We Cover Suffolk County

Suffolk County isn't one kind of place, so we don't design one kind of display. Here's how the county breaks down from our Commack office.

Huntington & Smithtown — North Shore

Harbor villages and wooded, big-lot neighborhoods: Huntington, Northport, Centerport, Lloyd Harbor, Cold Spring Harbor, Dix Hills, Commack, Smithtown, St. James, and Kings Park. Closest to our shop and our busiest area.

Babylon & Islip — South Shore

Great South Bay towns from Amityville and Lindenhurst through Babylon, West Islip, Bay Shore, Islip, Sayville, and Bayport — canal homes, Capes, and Colonials that need salt-air-rated hardware.

Brookhaven & the Middle Island

Patchogue, Port Jefferson, Stony Brook, Setauket, and the hamlets between — Centereach, Selden, Medford, Miller Place, Shirley, and the Moriches. Suffolk's biggest township and its most varied housing.

The Hamptons, North Fork & Shelter Island

Southampton, East Hampton, Sag Harbor, Montauk, and Westhampton on the South Fork; Riverhead, Mattituck, Cutchogue, Southold, and Greenport on the North Fork. Estate and second-home work, often coordinated with caretakers.

What Our Customers Say

"Our old Victorian has a lot of trim and they lit every line of it without a single nail. Came out on a Saturday for the design visit, quoted on the spot, and the price never changed. Looks incredible from Main Street."
Karen S.Huntington
"We're on the canal and wind has wrecked our lights every year. Not this time. They sealed everything on the water side and lit the back of the house so it shows from the boats. Zero outages all season."
Mike B.Lindenhurst
"Long driveway, big oaks, and we wanted the whole approach lit. They wrapped the trees, ran pathway lights to the door, and put it all on one timer. Our kids call it the runway. Takedown in January was painless."
Lisa & Pete G.Smithtown
"Hired them for our restaurant on Main Street. Installed after close, everything was up before we opened the next day, and the facade looks great from the sidewalk. Customers commented on it all December."
Anthony R.Patchogue
"The Commack office answered on the first ring and had someone out within a few days. Wreaths on every window, garland on the porch railing, roofline done perfectly. Neighbors asked for the number before the crew even left."
Dana W.Stony Brook
"Went with the permanent track lighting so we wouldn't have to deal with ladders every year. You can't see it during the day and it looks sharp at night. Set it to red and green for Christmas and orange for Halloween from my phone."
Rob H.Sayville

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Where is your Suffolk County office?
71 Mall Dr, Suite 3, Commack, NY 11725 — at the junction of the Northern State, Sunken Meadow Parkway, and the LIE. The Suffolk phone line is 631-430-5782. Our Nassau office in Westbury covers everything west of the county line.
Do you really go out to the Hamptons and the North Fork?
Yes. East End installs — Southampton, East Hampton, Sag Harbor, Montauk, Riverhead, Mattituck, Southold, Greenport — are scheduled in dedicated East End days so crews aren't bouncing back and forth on the LIE. We're used to coordinating with caretakers and property managers for second homes, including takedown while owners are away.
My house is on a canal off the Great South Bay. What's different about the install?
Salt air and open wind. Canal and bay-front homes in Lindenhurst, Babylon, West Islip, Bay Shore, Sayville, and Patchogue get sealed connections, corrosion-resistant clips, and wind-rated attachment on the water-facing eaves. It's the same kit we use for the Hamptons ocean-front work.
How early do Suffolk install dates fill up?
Huntington, Smithtown, Commack, and Dix Hills book earliest — they're closest to the shop and have the most large properties. To get lights up the weekend after Thanksgiving, book by mid-October. Installs start in late October and run through December; East End dates fill on their own calendar.
Can you handle wooded lots and long driveways in Dix Hills, Lloyd Harbor, or the Hamptons?
That's a lot of what we do in Suffolk. Long driveways get pathway and tree lighting on their own circuits and timers, specimen trees get wrapped to the height that reads from the road, and we plan power runs so nothing depends on a single outlet.
What does a typical Suffolk County residential install cost?
It depends on roofline footage, tree and shrub wrapping, and add-ons like wreaths, garland, or pathway lighting. A ranch in Selden and a shingled estate in Water Mill aren't the same job. Every quote is free, on-site, and firm before we schedule.
Do you take the lights down in January?
Yes, takedown is included and scheduled around the weather. For East End and second-home clients we coordinate with whoever has access to the property. Optional climate-controlled storage in Commack keeps your lights labeled and tested for next season.
Do you light storefronts and commercial properties in Suffolk?
Yes — Main Street districts like Huntington, Northport, Patchogue, Sayville, Port Jefferson, and Sag Harbor, plus plazas and offices along Jericho Turnpike, Route 25, Sunrise Highway, and Montauk Highway. Installs work around your hours.
